Groundswell Contracting Launches Green Awareness Initiative
A month after Earth Day, green is still in the spot light in Northern New Jersey as Groundswell Contracting takes steps to increase green awareness in our community. On two occasions over the past weeks Groundswell's Quentin Unsworth spoke to a Environmental Studies AP class at Leonia High School about green building, green materials, green jobs, alternative energy and aspects of a home energy audit. These interactive discussions are geared toward educating both students and adults alike about easy ways to be green and actions that can be taken to improve our indoor and outdoor environments.
When asked why he provides these green forums, Groundswell Contracting's Owner Quentin Unsworth stated, "Part of our company's goal is to educate our community about green alternatives to conventional construction methodology. Sustainability is a very real issue in today's world. The opportunity to speak with young adults about these modern issues was eye opening. I was pleased that the conversation went two ways and that our educators have brought environmental issues into focus. I hope the students I spoke with were able to go home at the end of the day and feel that they learned something worthwhile."
Groundswell will be continue to hold Green Awareness Forums through the summer months and into next Autumn. Get involved. Keep yourself posted on these engagements by following us on facebook.
