Q's Daily DIY Green Tips: Warming Fridge is Not So Cool

This tip might seem like common sense to many, but it is well worth noting.  When putting away cooked foods in the refrigerator, such as leftovers from dinner, it is important to make sure that the food is no longer hot!  Putting warm or hot foods into the refrigerator causes the refrigerator's compressor to work harder to bring down the temperature.  A harder working compressor uses more energy.  Keep that fridge cool and keep the hot foods out!
